CUISINE: Authentic, gourmet Mexican cuisine made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. The Frida menu highlights the varying regions of Mexico through its use of both traditional Mayan recipes and contemporary Mexican fare. Appetizers include a ceviche bar featuring Ceviche Especial, a combination of Tuna, Shrimp, and Avocado in a Housemade Chipotle Cream Sauce, as well as Carpaccio de Atún—Thinly Sliced Tuna in a Special Sauce, with Avocado, Onions, Cilantro, and Green Chile. Frida also features a selection of soups, including Pozolo Rojo—Guajillo Broth (dry chile) with Hominy and Spices, served with Shredded Chicken, Tostadas, Lettuce, Limes, Oregano, Onions, and Radish Slices, and entrees such as Pescado a la Talla—Grilled Tilapia marinated in a Three-Chile Sauce, served with Mexican Rice, Fried Plantains, and a Chayote Squash, stuffed with Cheese; Salmon a la Diabla-Grilled Salmon in a Chile Chipotle Creamy Sauce, served with Vegetables and White Rice; and Mole Poblano—Chicken simmered in a Chile-Chocolate Sauce, served with Rice and Beans.

WINE/TEQUILA PROGRAM: Frida offers a selection of over 30 tequilas and five mezcals, as well as several wines by the glass. Tequila is served in authentic Mexican tradition, with a side of sangrita—Tabasco, tomato juice, and spices.

DÉCOR: The spirit of Mexico can be found in the ambience and décor of all Frida restaurants, beginning with the original Beverly Hills location overlooking bustling Beverly Drive. Frida was remodeled on November of 2010 to modernize its interior to more properly represent its concept of providing the best authentic Mexican cuisine in a contemporary setting. The new design has a highly innovative interior distribution and a monumental silver leaf artistic mural by artist Candida Peña. This mural surrounds the restaurant with its blues and metallic colors and the rusticity of the reclaimed wood come together with the gilded antiques and pendants in the room. A space where customers experience a delicate colonial Mexico scene that together with the exquisite flavors of Frida completes a very satisfying dining experience.
